2004 was our year to explore one of our Nation’s premier wildlife & fishing destinations – Alaska.  It was absolutely incredible!  As you’ll read below, we spent almost three months exploring as much of this beautiful state as possible.  Ed was our navigator as he had been to Alaska twice before - in both 1965 and 1974.  While there have been tremendous changes, there were still many things that remained the same – majestic mountains, including Mt. McKinley, at 20,320’ the tallest mountain in North America; streams filled with spawning salmon; the incredible “Midnight Sun” just to name a few.  However, we also decided to explore areas Ed hadn’t yet ventured to (like Dutch Harbor/Unalaska) and they too were tremendous.  All in all, an unforgettable experience!  We’ll definitely be returning in 2005!!
