MARTIN PESCADOR LODGE
We spent two weeks of fishing at Martin Pescador Lodge at the close of our Chilean trip ( www.martinpescadorfishing.com ). It was great to once again see our hosts, Frans and Anna Jansen (and puppy “Bear” too). We also caught up with guides, Mike Trealor and Todd Allen, and met the lodge’s new guide, Derek Crenshaw. During the off-season, Frans and Anna had a new lodge building constructed on the Rio Yelcho. It’s beautiful with individual cabins connected with walkways. It is the perfect contrast to their second lodge on the Rio Rosselot (which you move to mid-week). In it all rooms are located down hallways off the main living area.

The Guides (sin Master Guide Frans) Mike, Todd and Derek |
As we noted last year, Anna is an outstanding chef and we enjoyed delicious meals as well as great company. Ed says he always learns something new about cooking while talking with or observing Anna. Apart from the guides, Frans & Anna have a wonderful support staff. At the Yelcho lodge, it’s Antoinetta, Bernada and Diego. At the Rosselot lodge, it’s Stacy, Carina, Lillian, Orlando and Don Segundo. A special mention goes to Cristian who assists with the overall operation.
