"The Grand Canyon."
Worldwide
everyone knows we’re talking about the one in Arizona.
But, until you witness it firsthand, it is almost beyond the imagination.
The Grand Canyon was carved by the mighty Colorado River. From the rim of the Grand Canyon, some one mile or more
above, it seems like only a trace of water.
However, when you’re traveling the Colorado River through the Grand
Canyon you quickly recognize its power to create and destroy.
In June 2003, we were fortunate to be able to travel some 189 miles
through the Grand Canyon in wooden dories floating the Colorado River.
When describing both the canyon walls and the water, it’s difficult to
find enough adjectives to capture their enormity and beauty.
Incredible, majestic, awesome…. Hopefully
our travel log and photos will give you a glimpse into this magnificent setting.
