We spent 4 nights in lodges in Yellowstone National Park. It’s a great way to be able to spend long days exploring the park’s various regions. Our first two nights were spent at Mammoth Lodge near the northern edge of the park. Within view of the lodge is the Mammoth Hot Springs area. It’s an amazing geothermal field with lots of activity. Also in this area of the park is the Norris Geyser Basin area. Again, an incredible collection of geothermal activity. Our next two nights Yellowstone were spent at the Grant Village Lodge in the southern part of the park. From here, you explore the famous Old Faithful Geyser area. Our timing was perfect as we saw not only Old Faithful explode, but also Beehive, Grotto, Daisy and Riverside Geysers. Wow!! Our final day in Yellowstone was spent in the West Thumb area. Here, the geothermal action continued and we were amazed at the incredible sights Nature has to offer!
