We, along with Ken & Cathy, enjoyed discovering a lovely vacation spot – The Dominican Republic. Before going to that country, we flew to Fort Lauderdale to spend time with Ken & Cathy and their puppies – Louie, Sophie & Alex. We enjoyed great food – especially some really yummy veggies from Cathy’s garden! We also did a bit of shopping and lots of relaxing. Then, it was time for the adventure to begin.

As usual, our flight departed from Miami. We got a great fare so we were able to enjoy seating in First Class en route to The Dominican Republic. Upon arrival, we were met by our driver after we cleared Customs & Immigration. We arrived at Excellence Punta Cana in about 30 minutes. As soon as the vehicle door was opened, the luxury and pampering began. We’ve now decided the best way to describe this resort: “Excellence Punta Cana Es Excellente!” This was our nicest all-inclusive resort to date. The setting was beautiful, all amenities were first class; the liquors and wines were outstanding; the food was delicious and varied; and all staff members were welcoming & friendly. We also took a tour to the closest city – Higuey – to get a glimpse into life outside the resort. Check out the photographs below; we think they’ll bring a smile!
